The Story Behind Vox & Oz
Every brand begins with a sketch.
Ours began with a simple question:
How can bold statement earrings become so comfortable that you forget you're wearing them?
That question became the starting point of Vox & Oz.
A story driven by industrial design, innovation and a passion for creating jewelry that feels as good as it looks.

A Mother–Daughter Journey
Design has always been part of who I am, but Vox & Oz would never have existed without my daughter, Léa-Marie.
In 2019, we decided to combine our ideas, creativity and strengths to imagine a new way of designing contemporary jewelry. Together, we built everything from the ground up: our first collections, countless 3D-printing experiments, artisan markets, trade shows, packaging, our website, and even long evenings dreaming about future ideas.
Today, life has led Léa-Marie to focus more on her career and her young family. While I now lead Vox & Oz on my own, our company still carries the spirit of the mother–daughter partnership that brought it to life.
Where It All Began
Before launching Vox & Oz, I spent more than thirty years working in industrial design and product development.
Throughout my career, I had the privilege of designing and developing thousands of products for companies across many industries.
Yet one dream remained:
To create a collection that would truly reflect my own vision.
After more than three decades designing products for others, many people might have thought the best years of my career were behind me.
Instead, in my fifties, I chose to start all over again.
A Business Is a Living Creation
Like many entrepreneurs, I believed I could plan every step of the journey.
Over time, I realized that building a business is much like creating a sketch.
You begin by drawing the main lines, but life often redraws the details.
People grow.
Families change.
New opportunities appear.
Dreams sometimes take directions we never expected.
That's not failure.
That's simply how businesses—and people—evolve.
Although our personal paths have changed, the spirit that inspired Vox & Oz remains exactly the same:
curiosity,
creativity,
the freedom to explore new ideas,
and the desire to do things differently.
Those values continue to guide every decision I make.

As an industrial designer, I've spent more than thirty years creating products, developing concepts and helping innovative ideas become reality.
I've always been fascinated by the moment when an idea becomes something tangible.
By discovering new materials.
By finding better ways to improve everyday objects.
Jewelry became the perfect creative playground.
It brings together everything I love:
- thoughtful design
- vibrant colour
- innovative technology
- attention to detail
- and the emotion a beautifully designed object can create.
At first, I thought I was simply designing a pair of earrings.
I didn't realize that first sketch would transform part of my own life.
Every decision I make follows one simple principle:
Create jewelry that looks bold… but feels almost weightless.
More Than a Jewelry Brand
Over the years, Vox & Oz has become much more than a jewelry company.
It has become a creative studio where design, innovation and craftsmanship meet.
It's also a place where I can share what I've learned.
Alongside Vox & Oz, I mentor entrepreneurs, helping them transform ideas into real businesses.
I enjoy listening, asking thoughtful questions and encouraging people to believe in their own creativity.
Those conversations inspire me just as much as I hope they inspire them.
The Story Continues
Over the years, Vox & Oz creations have found their place with respected retailers, including Simons and, more recently, the Boutique of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
Our collections have also received international awards recognizing our commitment to innovation and sustainable design.
Each milestone reminds me that the greatest adventures often begin with a single idea.
I don't know exactly what Vox & Oz will look like in ten or twenty years.
And I like that.
My goal isn't simply to create beautiful jewelry.
It's to build a company that continues to evolve, innovate and grow while remaining true to the passion that started it all:
the joy of creating.
Because in the end...
We don't just build a business.
A business builds us too.
When we allow it to grow naturally, it sometimes becomes even greater than the dream that first inspired it.

Looking Back
When I look back today, I realize I was never simply trying to make jewelry.
What has always inspired me is transforming an idea into something real.
Jewelry simply became my favourite way to express that passion.
For me, it represents a way of seeing the world:
observing,
imagining,
experimenting,
and creating.
I believe that curiosity will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Even today, every new creation begins exactly the same way as the very first one:
with a sketch.
Behind every Vox & Oz piece lies an idea, countless prototypes, moments of doubt, endless passion, and the desire to create jewelry that brings beauty, comfort and lightness into women's everyday lives.
Because the most meaningful stories often begin with nothing more than a simple pencil line.
